Here's how we fix our Democracy:

We must pass an amendment to the Constitution that states:

"Corporations are not people. They have none of the Constitutional rights of human beings. Corporations are not allowed to give money to any politician, directly or indirectly. No politician can raise over $100 from any person or entity. All elections must be publicly financed."

We must put enormous pressure on our State Representatives to call for an Article V amendment-proposing convention with the sole purpose (you can call for a limited convention) of passing this amendment to get money out of politics.  We need 2/3 of our state governments to call for the convention, once it convenes we need a 3/4 vote to  ratify the amendment as part of the Constitution.  This is why there is absolutely no fear of a "runaway convention."  Anything that comes out of a convention needs such a high number of votes that only the most populist of issues could ever have a chance of passing.  We will put pressure by making phone calls, writing letters, giving money to candidates who support this cause, and running ads against those who don't.
